Luxury Residential Interior Design | Summer 2024-2025Sara Lynn Brennan Interiors
For close to a decade, Sara Lynn Brennan has been acclaimed as the “go to” Charlotte interior designer, representing the next wave of design tastemaking. Her portfolio runs the gamut from custom new builds, large scale renovations, and full scope furnishing + styling. Most recently she has opened her 1,200 sq. ft. flagship design center “All Things Home” in Weddington, NC.
Project Styling
A main takeaway was learning the art of styling—especially styling shelves and completing a space from soup to nuts. I learned how filling custom built-ins with intention and selecting the perfect coffee table fillers can completely transform a room, allowing a client’s home to feel thoughtfully curated and uniquely theirs. This phase of design is where a space truly comes to life; it’s no longer just about furniture placement, but about storytelling. Through personal objects, layered textures, and meaningful details, the design reflects the client’s history, personality, and lifestyle. This has become my favorite part of the design process, as it is where creativity and connection intersect, turning a well-designed space into a deeply personal one.
HPMKT 2024
My first market!!! Attending High Point Furniture Market in Fall 2024 was a pivotal experience that deepened my understanding of designer vendors and the behind-the-scenes process of bringing our clients’ furniture visions to life. Being immersed in the market allowed me to see how pieces are sourced, evaluated, and selected with intention—not just for aesthetics, but for real-life use. My favorite part of the experience was testing the durability and comfort of the furniture we were considering, ensuring each piece met our standards before recommending it to clients. Bringing that firsthand knowledge back to our clients gave me confidence in the selections we approved and reassured them that they would truly love the pieces chosen for their homes.
Design Meetings
Participating in client design meetings taught me the importance of the design process from start to finish and the role client satisfaction plays at every stage. I learned that successful design is deeply collaborative—this is the client’s journey, and our role is to guide, listen, and translate their vision into something both functional and beautifully refined. From initial conversations to final decisions, each meeting reinforced the value of clear communication, trust, and partnership, ensuring the final result feels not only aesthetically stunning but truly reflective of the people who live in the space.
